This Privacy Policy explains how Astrocorp Techlab Private Limited (“Astrocorp”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you visit astrocorp.in, use Astro Ratan (including WhatsApp and web), or interact with our other products and services (together, the “Services”).
Birth data and conversations are sensitive. We treat them as such. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the Services.

2. Information we collect
2.1 Information you provide
- Account & contact data — name, email, phone number, WhatsApp number.
- Birth data — date, time, and place of birth (and related chart inputs) that you submit for readings.
- Conversation content — messages you send to Astro Ratan or support channels.
- Payment data — processed by payment providers; we receive confirmation and limited billing metadata, not full card numbers when providers tokenize payments.
- Business inquiries — information you send for partnerships, careers, or enterprise access.
2.2 Information collected automatically
- Device & log data — IP address, browser type, device identifiers, approximate location derived from IP, pages viewed, referring URLs, timestamps.
- Cookies & similar tech — essential cookies (e.g. theme preference) and, where used, analytics cookies. See Section 7.
2.3 Information from third parties
Messaging platforms (e.g. WhatsApp / Meta) process messages under their own terms. We receive the content and metadata necessary to deliver the product conversation.
3. How we use information
- To cast charts, generate readings, briefings, and product features you request.
- To operate, secure, and improve the Services (including debugging and model/product quality work under strict access controls).
- To process payments, prevent fraud, and comply with law.
- To respond to support, sales, and partnership requests.
- To send service communications; marketing only where permitted and with a clear unsubscribe path.
We do not sell personal data. We do not use birth data to train public models in a way that re-identifies you without a lawful basis and appropriate safeguards.
4. Legal bases (where applicable)
Depending on your location, we rely on: performance of a contract; legitimate interests (security, product improvement, enterprise sales); consent (certain cookies / marketing); and legal obligation.
5. Sharing
We share information only as needed with:
- Infrastructure providers — cloud hosting, databases, email, analytics (under contract).
- Payment processors — to complete transactions.
- Messaging platforms — to deliver WhatsApp or similar conversations.
- Professional advisors & authorities — when required by law or to protect rights and safety.
Enterprise API customers process data under their own privacy notices for end users they bring.
6. International transfers
We are based in India. Data may be processed in other countries by subprocessors. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (contractual clauses or equivalent).
7. Cookies
- Essential — e.g. saving your day/night theme preference in local storage / cookies.
- Analytics — if enabled on a property, to understand aggregate traffic; we will identify them in the relevant product.
You can control cookies via browser settings. Essential storage may be required for basic site function.
8. Retention
We retain personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above: account and chart data while your relationship is active and for a reasonable period thereafter; logs for security windows; legal records as required by law. You may request deletion subject to legal retention duties.
9. Security
We implement technical and organisational measures appropriate to the sensitivity of birth data and conversations (access control, encryption in transit, least-privilege operations). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we work to continuously improve.
10. Children
Our Services are not directed to children under 18. If you believe a child has provided data, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
11. Your rights
Depending on applicable law (including India’s Digital Personal Data Protection framework and other regimes if they apply), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port data, and to withdraw consent. Contact the privacy desk at privacy@astrocorp.in. We may need to verify your identity before acting.
12. Product-specific notices
Individual products (e.g. Astro Ratan, future health or finance products) may present additional in-product notices and disclaimers. Those notices supplement this policy. Health and financial features, when offered, are not medical or investment advice.
13. Changes
We may update this policy. We will revise the “Last updated” date and, for material changes, provide additional notice where appropriate.
